Today I’ve got some cool inspiration for yall. It’s the work of designer/illustrator/writer Gordon Reid aka Middle Boop. He’s got some great, unique (and often vintage) work, and has worked with some big names. More about Gordon after the jump.

Today’s textures are something I’ve been eyeing taking pictures of for a while. There are these cool old metal sculptures at a local restaurant that we go to pretty often. They are rustic, worn, grungy, and very, very cool looking. They are fairly large, but even the individual scraps of metal that make them up are really cool.

One day a couple of weeks ago while I was hanging out at my printers, he showed me a very awesome classic car that they had in the back. I love classic cars, and this one was especially cool. Lots of cool textures, patterns, etc. So I went back a couple of days later and took a whole bunch of pictures. And here they are! :)

For this weeks inspiration post I have some very cool Vintage Advertisments for yall. I’m a big fan of most things old-timey and vintage, so I really love these. The vintage ads also often have some very cool typography, nice illustrations, and much more to draw inspiration from.

Today’s texture pack is a little bit different. This weekend, I bought a very cool package of old postal letters from an antique dealer. Right when I saw them, I knew I had to do something with them. They were just so cool, and historic.
