This is a selection of beautiful website designs to boost your imagination for next time your designing a website. I hand picked these designs on Deviantart to show to you and talk about how beautiful websites are made.
First of all I would like to introduce myself, it’s my first post here, thanks to Nick for giving me this opportunity. My name is Paulo Canabarro aka Paul0v2 and from now on I’ll be here with you guys very often.
Here is my selection of beautiful website designs:
Now I ask you, what make theses website designs so beautiful?
As you see all these have something in common, they not just a plain website design, they interact with the viewer by having images and photos popping out of that plain website view that we are used too, and in some of them is the website content that pops out of the background image which also interacts with the viewers on a positive way.
Conclusion:
You want to make your website design look good, make it look real, bring real elements into your design, Think Design Blog itself is a great example the way the top of the website is designed with different textures that blend in to a plain part with the content is beautiful.
I know that is a lot more beautiful websites out there, so post your picks and thoughts, Thank you.

Cool websites, which I’ve actually never seen before! The images and textures used on these sites bring them to a level above normal designs.
@Magnus, Yeah, they really are awesome! I’m glad I could bring you some new stuff as well :) Like your redesign, btw!
thank you so much for including my design in your list :)
Very nice. Some of the best I have seen.
Hope you don’t mind:
The header image needs to be fixed position.. the background texture looks off (Safari 3.1.2 Mac).
Also RSS box padding is missing.
Otherwise, really nice design!
@David, you are very welcome! Great work!
@Bruce, glad you liked them, and thanks for stopping by!
@Rob, Appreciate the comment! I will look into those issues, thanks for the heads up.
Beautiful designs. Really great work!
You’re right, there are some marvellous designs here. I think that some of the best websites are ones which use design elements to add depth to the layout, giving less of an impression of viewing a flat computer screen. Nice collection.
Thank you for the comments, I’m glad everyone like it and pretty soon I’ll post more good stuff.
Including the link to the actual sites would have improved post quality :(
Nice choices Paulo! I particularly like the the School of English one as it is a subject that doesn’t really have a lot of imagery associated with it, so the designer has had to work hard to bring in the visual elements.
So is Poland where the great design is coming from these days?
What about when you have clients who insist on textual content taking priority and want that super clean look? Two such examples we have just completed:

@Manu, Some of these sites are concepts, so some are not live sites. I’ll make sure to have a link to the sites if they are live for future posts. Thanks for stopping by!
@Sam, Thanks for your comment! I love your site, and the examples your posted. Specifically the BirdBird site. VERY nice! Thanks for stopping by.
@Sam Cranwell, I guess when the client wants that, that is what you have to go for, It’s hard working with the client that don’t give you the space needed to create a good design. But bringing images into to the website it’s not the only way to make a website look good. I thinking of writing something about that for next time, like other ways to get a good design.
For the websites u showed, they are not beautiful websites but the nice regular designs that made the client happy.
Thank you for the post.

The Honey website is amazing! ;) every thing done so perfect and nice,.. Good work!
Gorgeous! Gorgeous!
Very nice collection, I would be considering them in my next projects. But some in of the websites the developer tend to work too much on graphics, in order to make them look good attractive. This in some cases is true, but usually the viewer forgets about the main content of the website and starts focusing on the graphics and art work.
Good post.
