Freebies - 44 High-Res Summer Garden Textures
It’s that time of year again. In Texas, that means a super hot, always-pool-weather, summer. (Well, for the most part.) On one particularly nice day, I was able to snap some Summer Garden shots.

ADC has been nice enough to offer up a copy of last years ADC Young Guns Annual (YG7). The annual is a custom-made limited edition Moleskine with work from all of last year’s ADC Young Guns winners.
As well as being a fan of textures, patterns are also a favorite of mine. So today I’ve put together a few vector patterns for yall, made with simple geometric shapes.
Today’s textures are something I’ve been eyeing taking pictures of for a while. There are these cool old metal sculptures at a local restaurant that we go to pretty often. They are rustic, worn, grungy, and very, very cool looking. They are fairly large, but even the individual scraps of metal that make them up are really cool.
As designers, especially freelance, it’s important to network, and get your name and work out there. It’s how you build up customers, meet potential partners, etc. Sort of important :) We are also our harshest customer, so designing our own stuff always takes a bit longer. And whenever you finally, after 1,345,654 different revisions, finish your cool new design, then you’ve got to get it printed. So today, thanks to UPrinting.com, I’m hoping to make that printing portion of it a little easier (Free is also cheaper than it would cost :) )
Today I’ve got some ’seasonal’ textures for yall. This upcoming weekend is Easter, so I’ve put together some cool, high-quality Easter Egg textures. They include plastic Easter eggs, “grass”, and some of the shots include the white basket. I know a lot of you don’t celebrate Easter, but I’m hoping you’ll still be able to get some use out of these. Maybe just a colorful Spring design?
Hello everyone! This week’s Monday post is a little late. Long day, mostly out of the office. But I’ve got something for yall I think you’ll like. It’s a ‘Button & Form Element Vector Pack.’ It’s several different button styles, all in several different colors. There are square, round, rectangle, and rounded corner buttons. I’ve [...]
To start the week off, I’ve got a cool freebie pack for you. It’s Confetti! My nephew recently won some school contest, and they wrapped the prize in newspaper and confetti. He’s a smart kid, and he knows what I do, so he suggested I check it out. It was very cool. So I decided to make some Photoshop Brushes, Vectors and textures out of the confetti. I wanted to give yall a variety.
One day a couple of weeks ago while I was hanging out at my printers, he showed me a very awesome classic car that they had in the back. I love classic cars, and this one was especially cool. Lots of cool textures, patterns, etc. So I went back a couple of days later and took a whole bunch of pictures. And here they are! :)
Today I’ve got some ‘Grungy Texturing’ Photoshop Brushes for yall. They are 15 high-quality grungy brushes great for texturing backgrounds, text, etc. While I know the ‘full blown’ grunge designs are dying down somewhat in popularity, these types of brushes and textures can be used on non-grunge related designs, to add subtle textures to backgrounds, give pieces a worn/old look, etc.
