Happy Friday everyone! Today’s weekly Twitter round up is full of cool, inspirational, and helpful stuff. More specifically, a lot of inspiration, some very helpful articles for freelancers, and even a bit of CSS3 fun.

Today’s inspiration is the work of French Illustrator Florian Nicolle. He’s got an original and creative style that is very inspirational. Here is a little introduction of himself that Florian wrote for yall, as well as a showcase of his awesome work.

As well as being a fan of textures, patterns are also a favorite of mine. So today I’ve put together a few vector patterns for yall, made with simple geometric shapes.

Today’s Inspiration comes to us from Jakub Stępień aka Hakobo. He has recently published a beautiful showcase of his work, (HGW: Hakobo Graphic World) and even did an exhibition along with it. I’m including a bunch of pictures of the book itself, and some cool pictures from the exhibit.

Today’s textures are something I’ve been eyeing taking pictures of for a while. There are these cool old metal sculptures at a local restaurant that we go to pretty often. They are rustic, worn, grungy, and very, very cool looking. They are fairly large, but even the individual scraps of metal that make them up are really cool.

As designers, especially freelance, it’s important to network, and get your name and work out there. It’s how you build up customers, meet potential partners, etc. Sort of important :) We are also our harshest customer, so designing our own stuff always takes a bit longer. And whenever you finally, after 1,345,654 different revisions, finish your cool new design, then you’ve got to get it printed. So today, thanks to UPrinting.com, I’m hoping to make that printing portion of it a little easier (Free is also cheaper than it would cost :) )
